I am on a journey. I suppose I have always been, but I just recently opened my eyes. In an attempt at self discovery I've begun blogging. Writing about the rocky journey I've been on in the past, who I am now, and the wife, mother, and the loving cohabitant I wish to be to the rest of the world. The person I WILL be. Transformation isn't easy, in fact it's one of the toughest things I've undertaken in this world. Fighting against the grain generally is. Blocking out who everyone wants me to be, but most of all, fighting my old self and my old habits requires things I've never utilized. Things that have always been there, but have been ignored. My own self respect and my God. I have accepted what has been. I'm moving on. I remember my mistakes, and prefer to make light of them in an effort to cope, but they do not define me. God does. I am an imperfect child of God and have experienced what I have for a reason. The road isn't always clear, but I trust in HIM completely.
